ASPHALT LABOURERS WANTED
LOCATION: DURHAM REGION (AJAX AND SURROUNDING AREAS)
We are currently looking for experienced Asphalt Labourers to join our paving crew. We are hiring candidates with experience in asphalt paving, roller operation, skid steer operation, and rake/lute work. This is a full-time position working on commercial and residential paving projects.
The ideal candidate is hardworking, reliable, physically fit, and able to work in a fast-paced outdoor environment.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with asphalt paving and road construction projects
- Operate asphalt roller equipment safely and efficiently
- Operate skid steer for material handling and site preparation
- Perform rake/lute work to spread and level asphalt
- Shovel, sweep, and clean job sites as needed
- Support the paving crew with general labour duties
- Follow all health and safety procedures on site
- Work outdoors in various weather conditions
Requirements:
- Minimum 1–2 years of asphalt paving experience
- Experience operating asphalt rollers and skid steers
- Experience as a rake man/lute operator
- Ability to perform physically demanding work
- Reliable transportation
- Valid work permit or legal authorization to work in Canada
- Ability to work long hours and overtime when required
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
