Overview
We are seeking a reliable and professional Part-Time Delivery Driver to join our team. This role involves transporting goods efficiently and safely to various locations, ensuring customer satisfaction and timely deliveries. The ideal candidate will have a strong focus on customer service, excellent communication skills, and the ability to handle physical tasks such as moving and heavy lifting. Previous warehouse or commercial driving experience is a plus, but we provide necessary training for the right candidate.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate delivery vehicles to transport goods to designated locations
- Load and unload items using appropriate equipment such as forklifts when necessary
- Ensure accurate delivery of products while maintaining high standards of customer service
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery times and any issues that arise
- Assist with moving items within warehouses or storage areas as needed
- Follow all safety protocols and traffic laws during deliveries
- Maintain cleanliness and basic maintenance of delivery vehicle
Skills
- Experience with moving heavy loads and handling physical tasks efficiently
- Forklift operation skills are a plus but not required; training available for qualified candidates
- Strong customer service orientation with excellent communication skills
- Warehouse experience is beneficial for understanding logistics and inventory handling
- Valid commercial driver’s license preferred; safe driving record essential
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and adapt to changing schedules
- Good physical stamina for heavy lifting and extended periods of driving or standing
