Job Description
We are looking for a motivated and dependable Junior Roofing Labourer to join our residential shingle roofing team in Richmond Hill. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a career in the roofing industry. You will work alongside experienced roofers, assisting with the installation and repair of asphalt shingle roofs while learning valuable trade skills.
No extensive roofing experience is required, but construction or general labour experience is an asset.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the installation and replacement of asphalt shingle roofs
- Remove old roofing materials and clean roof surfaces
- Carry and organize roofing materials, tools, and equipment
- Help install underlayment, shingles, flashing, and vents
- Maintain a clean and safe worksite
- Follow all company safety procedures, including fall protection requirements
- Work efficiently with the roofing crew to complete projects on schedule
- Perform other labour duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Previous construction, roofing, or general labour experience is an asset
- Willingness to learn the roofing trade
- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions
- Comfortable working at heights
- Physically fit and able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Reliable, punctual, and hardworking
- Ability to work well as part of a team
